New $48.5 million Moranbah Hospital to be delivered

We’re building the brand new $48.5 million Moranbah Hospital which will deliver world-class healthcare closer to home for the people of Moranbah.

It will feature an expanded emergency department, new helipad, more beds, medical imaging, and more.

The new Moranbah Hospital will have an emergency department and inpatient unit side by side. This means larger-scale emergencies will be more effectively responded to.

It will also mean patients will no longer have to travel to Mackay for further investigation when it comes to the aftermath of an accident, or the diagnosis of certain medical conditions.

Funding for the new hospital has been provided by the Palaszczuk Government’s progressive royalties regime.

The Palaszczuk Government announced Hutchinson Builders will construct the new Moranbah Hospital in the heart of Queensland’s resources community.

Construction begins in 2023, and the new hospital will be completed in 2024-25.
